The Obverse side of the Silver Eagle displays a Walking Liberty design along with the words "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the right side of the coin and the year of issue located at the bottom center of the coin. 


The Reverse of the Silver Eagle displays artwork of an eagle behind a shield with an olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left and the eagle holds a banner in its beak with the words "E PLURIBUS UNUM" Art work designed by John Mercanti. The American Gold Eagle

The American Gold Eagle was first released in 1986 making it the first modern bullion coin recognized by the United States Congress, The American Gold Eagle comes in weights of 1/10, 1/4, 1/2, & 1 oz, also known as "The Family of Eagles"  and are guaranteed for their weight, content, and purity by the United States Government.  The obverse side of the coin has Lady Liberty and the reverse side of the coin has a male eagle soring holding an olive branch in its talons over a nest with a female eagle and her hatchlings.

American Gold Buffalo

The American Gold Buffalo is the first .9999 or 24 karat gold coin produced by the US Mint and was authorized by congress in 2005 and minting began in 2006.  The 1 oz Gold Buffalo contains 1 Troy Ounce of .9999 pure gold and has a face value of $50.  The United States Government guarantees the Gold Buffalos content, weight, and purity, the same as they do for the Gold and Silver Eagles.


The Obverse side of the Gold Buffalo displays artwork by the famous sculptor James Fraser.  The artwork chosen for the obverse of the Buffalo is the popular Native American portrait found on the nickel which is known as the Buffalo or Indian Head.  The artwork is of a Native American man facing the right side of the coin with his hair braided draping over his right shoulder and feathers pinned at the back of his head.  Added to the design the coin also has "LIBERTY" stamped in front of the face and the "YEAR" of the coin is stamped on the shoulder.


The Reverse of side of the Gold Buffalo displays the iconic Bison, also known as the American Buffalo.  The Buffalo is standing facing to the left with its head down against the bevel of the coin.  The coin also has the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" around the top of the coin, stamped directly below the word AMERICA is "E PLURIBUS UNUM"  and directly under the Buffalos chin are the words "IN GOD WE TRUST"  to add to the art work the face value of "$50" and "1 OZ .9999 FINE GOLD" are stamped in the dirt that the buffalo is standing on.  The artwork for the reverse side of the coin is also by James Fraser.


The United States Government guarantees the Gold Buffalo's content, weight, and purity.
